Gorgeous little English pub

Ask for a newly renovated room to enjoy a more comfortable and pleasant stay, as some areas show signs of aging.

The food at The Saracens Head is a proper gem! Enjoyed a hearty meal accompanied by a fantastic range of ales. Plus, the staff are always up for a chat, making the pub a great spot to wind down. The location's spot on for exploring Highworth, with other fab restaurants just a stone's throw away.

The room had a bit of a smell when I arrived, but it wasn't a showstopper—just opened a window! the kitchen closes at 8pm, and I rolled in at 10 to 8, but the crew were stars and sorted me out with a sandwich and chips. Totally my oversight!

The room was really disappointing. It felt cramped and the bathroom was super tiny, like barely room to move. The walls had this weird damp smell, and no joke, it was hard to ignore. The view wasn't great either, just a wall. At least the bedding was clean, but that was about it. Pretty much everything else left a lot to be desired.

My only issue was with the bathroom in my room. it could use some better upkeep, like fixing the dripping tap. It could have been better, but it wasn't a dealbreaker for our trip.

I had a lovely stay in a cozy single room. The bed was comfy, and the atmosphere of the bar and dining area was inviting—perfect for winding down after a day of exploring. The staff were exceptionally friendly and attentive, and the homemade food was a real highlight.

The mattress could use some improvement.

It was just a perfect match for a fleeting moment in Highworth with great value for the money. The towels were nice and fluffy, a small comfort in a shabby room. Consider bringing your own snacks since the breakfast was very limited.

loved the location, the building was amazin and the staff were super helpful. comfy clean beds, well worth the price. great food value for money n nice atmosphere.

the only downside was that we had to order at the bar instead of table service, and could of done with a bit more attention to clearing empty plates.

I was here for a single night with friends and had a great time playing darts and enjoying the lively atmosphere in the pub. The food was very good, and the bartenders were happy to chat, making it even more enjoyable. On the downside, the mattress in my room could definitely be upgraded for better comfort.
